Ruddy photos always load in reverse order. Grr.
Yes, well that's... mountains.... and trees...
Abstract trees and sun stuff.
We stopped for lunch at an awesome western-themed eating-house thing. This is waiting for our order.
I ordered a mushroom burger. Fail. Not my fault, really- I was expecting a burger for crying out loud, not an edible mountain. That photo really doesn't do it justice. I nearly finished it. Half a pound of best Idaho beef? Gluttony. But it tasted great... and I had Tater Tots for the first time in my life!!!! Whee!!!
"Psst, Napoleon. Give me some of your tots."
"No, get your own!"
Some other people had trouble finishing, too.
As I said, the diner was decorated in western style, complete with a stuffed black bear. Sadly, this would be the closest I got to a bear. Sniff.
A view of a town called Horseshoe, where we stopped for lunch. Hot hot hot. Dry. Blazing sun. Thirst. Hot. Hot hot. That's pretty much Idaho in a nutshell.
This next one is something entirely incomprehensible to me. A four-way stop. Sure, I know the rules- whoever gets there first goes first; if you tie, the person on the right goes first. Still... what's wrong with a roundabout? To have a four-way stop each freaking block is a crazy waste of petrol... On that note, the photo-that-got-away is a sign by the roadside saying: "Say No to Roundabouts". Hello.....??
That's all, amigos.
