Well, we're here at Trinity Pines Camp and Conference Centre, which is just out of Cascade, Idaho, which is a couple hours north of Boise. It's so beautiful... the main hall, where i'm sitting right now, has this unbelievable view out over the Payenne River, meadows and out to the mountains of the Boise National Forest. The streets and habitations have mean names like Horseshoe Bend, Seven Mile Ranch and Cougar Lodge. Apparently there's bears, cougars, moose (meese?) and what-not out in the wilds... I haven't seen any yet but if I see a bear you'll probably hear the scream from here :P I can't deny, I'd be pretty stoked to see one though. The hall of the conference centre is decorated with these mean deer, elk, moose and caribou heads. The one that I keep looking at when I sit eating looks like Bambi's father. Kinda sad, that. My cousin's husband goes bow-and-arrow hunting in a place called the Sawtooth Wilderness. How freakin cool is that... My cousin says that elk tastes much nicer than beef. Last night when we were sitting around the bonfire making s'mores, there was this huge thunder and lightning storm in the distance. We sat there watching these huge, silent sheets of light flickering behind the hills, making silhouettes of the pine trees and glowing in the clouds. Everything here is on a bigger scale... and that's not just the nature!! ha ha... just everything is bigger: the cars, the snacks, the voices, and yes, some of the people. Even the freaking dandelions on the edge of the road are bigger. As in, as big as my fist. Might get a photo of one. And speaking of photos, they're coming soon. I promise :) Well, I think they're making s'mores without me. Love you all :) xox
